Ngaio Bowthorpe joined Blue Ventures as Communications Manager in January 2020. She brings over ten years’ experience in media relations and strategic communications within the international development and disability sectors. This included several years working with the NGO, Farm Africa, supporting projects in agriculture and aquaculture across East Africa. She loves bringing a cause to life by putting people at the centre of the narrative. She’s delighted to embark on her first role in marine conservation.
Ngaio started her public relations career following her passion for film, working for the British Film Institute and Film London. Her other passions include running and singing with her community choir. Ngaio also volunteers as a governor at a local nursery school.
