Southwest Madagascar is where our conservation work all began. Out of our award-winning underwater expeditions grew BV’s first community-based conservation projects. We now work alongside communities in Madagascar, Belize, Timor Leste and Indonesia to develop scalable approaches to community-led fisheries management, tackling the opportunity cost of marine protection to deliver meaningful benefits to coastal communities through conservation. We do this by working hand-in-hand with fishers and community leaders, helping build marine management, strengthen governance, and address the barriers to effective participation in conservation. These fisher services help build resilience in the face of climate change and environmental shocks. We are a core part of the wider Blue Ventures family, sharing learning with our Outreach Team, partners and networks to scale our impact. We look forward to welcoming you on board!
