Maintaining our commitment to effective, evidenced based conservation programming at this scale, while remaining aligned with our values, necessitates agile and responsive monitoring and evaluation systems and support across the organisation.
Through monitoring and evaluation, we learn from, adapt and improve the performance of our models and demonstrate how we are progressing towards in our mission. They generate evidence of our impact and effectiveness, and ensure our accountability to the communities and partners we support, as well as to our own supporters and funders. We are committed to making our research outputs open access, and the results of our work are made available online wherever possible. Blue Ventures has so far published over 100 scientific reports and papers documenting the lessons learned from our research and conservation efforts.
Our support team plays a central role in the design process and development of new initiatives, and ensures our interventions are grounded in logically sound theories of change, and are being monitored and evaluated efficiently using appropriate indicators, by the people who wish to use the data to inform their work.
